A focused strategy with clear priorities, owners and milestones.

02

Simpler, faster operations

Processes, structures and systems that cost less and work better.

03

New revenue, won well

Disciplined business development that brings in the right clients.

Why clients come to us

Good businesses often outgrow the way they are run.

Revenue rises but profit does not follow. Decisions slow down as the team grows. Opportunities in new markets are clear, but the route to them is not. These are the moments when an experienced, independent perspective makes the difference.

We help you see the business clearly, decide what matters most and put the changes in place. Our advice is practical and commercially grounded, and we stay involved until the results are visible in your numbers, not just in a report.

Services

Advice across the full life of a business

Each engagement is shaped around your situation. Most clients draw on two or three of the areas below, delivered as one joined-up programme.

01

Strategy & business planning

Where should the business be in three to five years, and what has to change to get there? We help you answer those questions with evidence, then turn the answer into a plan the whole team can act on.

  • Strategic reviews and market positioning
  • Three to five year business plans
  • Board and shareholder strategy sessions
  • KPIs and performance frameworks
02

Operational efficiency

We look closely at how work actually gets done, identify duplication, delay and waste, and redesign processes so your people can spend their time where it adds value.

  • Process mapping and redesign
  • Organisation structure and roles
  • Systems and technology review
  • Cost reduction programmes
03

Business development & growth

Growth is rarely a question of effort alone. We help you choose the right markets and clients, sharpen your proposition and build a consistent, measurable approach to winning new work.

  • Growth strategy and target market selection
  • Proposition and pricing review
  • Sales pipeline and bid processes
  • Partnerships and strategic alliances
04

Profitability & financial performance

We analyse where your margin is made and lost, by product, service, client and channel, and agree the practical steps that will lift profit and strengthen cash flow.

  • Margin and cost-to-serve analysis
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash planning
  • Management information and reporting
  • Turnaround and performance recovery
05

International expansion

For UK businesses looking abroad, and for overseas businesses establishing themselves in the UK, we help assess the opportunity, plan the entry and manage the risks along the way.

  • Market entry assessment and planning
  • UK set-up support for overseas companies
  • Partner and distributor selection
  • Cross-border operating models
06

Leadership, governance & change

Strategy only succeeds when people lead it. We support leadership teams through change, strengthen governance and prepare the business for succession, investment or sale.

  • Change management and implementation
  • Board effectiveness and governance
  • Succession and exit readiness
  • Interim and non-executive advisory support

Our approach

A clear method, from first conversation to lasting results

Every business is different, but good consulting follows a disciplined path. You will always know what we are doing, why, and what you will receive at each stage.

  1. 1

    Understand

We start by listening. Through conversations with you and your team, and a review of your figures, we build an honest picture of where the business stands today.

You receive: an agreed scope, objectives and timetable.

  2. 2

    Diagnose

We analyse performance, processes and markets to identify the issues and opportunities that will make the greatest difference, and separate the symptoms from the causes.

You receive: a concise findings report with priorities.

  3. 3

    Design

Together we develop the solution: the strategy, the operating changes and the growth plan, each tested against your resources, your risk appetite and your timeline.

You receive: a practical action plan with clear owners.

  4. 4

    Deliver & embed

We stay with you through implementation, supporting your team, tracking progress against agreed measures and adjusting course so the change holds.

You receive: measurable results and a team equipped to sustain them.

We keep our client list deliberately focused so that senior consultants lead every engagement personally, from the first meeting to the final review. You will not be handed to a junior team once the work begins.

The people you meet at the outset are the people who do the work.

  • Practical, not theoretical

Recommendations are built to be implemented by your team, with your resources.

  • Commercially grounded

Every recommendation is linked to its effect on revenue, cost, cash or risk.

  • Independent and confidential

We have no products to sell. Our only interest is the success of your business.

  • Clear on fees

Scope and fees are agreed in writing before work begins. No surprises.

  • Focused on outcomes

We agree how success will be measured at the start, and report against it.

FAQs

Common questions

If your question is not answered here, we would be glad to discuss it in person.

What size of business do you work with?

We mainly work with owner-managed businesses, SMEs and mid-sized companies, as well as international groups with UK operations. The common factor is not size but a commitment to improving how the business performs.

How does the first consultation work?

The initial consultation is a confidential, no-obligation conversation, in person in London or by video call. We discuss your objectives and challenges, and if we believe we can help, we follow up with a written proposal setting out scope, timetable and fees.

How are your fees structured?

Depending on the work, we offer fixed fees for defined projects, phased fees for longer programmes, or a monthly retainer for ongoing advisory support. All fees are agreed in writing before any work begins.

How long does a typical engagement last?

A strategic review usually takes four to eight weeks. Implementation projects commonly run for three to nine months, and advisory relationships often continue for a year or more.

Do you work with businesses outside the UK?

Yes. We advise UK businesses expanding overseas and international companies entering or growing in the UK. Much of this work can be delivered remotely, with visits arranged as the engagement requires.

Is our information kept confidential?

Always. Client confidentiality is fundamental to how we work, and we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before any detailed discussion. Personal data is handled in line with UK GDPR, as set out in our privacy notice.
